I had a mixed experience at the Victor Metropolis Hotel. While the location was fantastic, right in the heart of the Old Quarter and close to Hoan Kiem Lake, my stay wasn't without its drawbacks. The room, unfortunately, fell short of my expectations in terms of size and amenities. and the quality of breakfast could use improvement.

I was disappointed with the size of my room. it felt cramped and not as advertised. Fortunately, the room was cleaned daily, which was a plus.
Service

My interactions with the staff were mostly positive. The doorman and other staff were respectful and professional, although some initial pressure to book tours wasn't ideal.

The hotel's location was a major highlight. being right next to the cathedral and in the bustling Old Quarter made exploring very convenient.
Dining

I found the breakfast offerings to be limited. the quality was not quite what I had hoped for, especially after experiencing other dining options in Vietnam.
Facilities

The hotel had essential facilities like room service and laundry, although I didn’t take advantage of all of them.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at the Victor Metropolis Hotel, which is centrally located in the Old Quarter, just a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, organizing tours for me and even allowing me to freshen up after check-out. However, the breakfast options were quite limited, and I experienced a few issues with my room, like a missing curtain. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with some room for improvement.

Rooms

My room was modern and clean, though I had issues with light coming in all night due to a lack of curtains. Once mentioned, the staff was quick to address it. The bathroom was very modern, which was a nice touch.
Service

The service was excellent, with Ruby going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and helping with airport transfers. The door staff were also very friendly.

The hotel's location is perfect—right in the heart of the Old Quarter and close to St. Joseph's Cathedral and numerous great restaurants, which made it super convenient for exploring.
Dining

While I appreciated the breakfast service and the lovely atmosphere, I was disappointed by the limited options. When I arrived close to the end time, the food was mostly gone, which made it less enjoyable.

The hotel offered good facilities like room service and laundry, but I was unable to access the rooftop bar during my stay, which was disheartening as I was looking forward to that.

My stay at the Victor Metropolis Hotel was mostly enjoyable, especially with the wonderful rooftop bar that offered great views and ambiance. However, I found the breakfast could use some improvement, and while my room was comfortable, it seemed to need a touch of refreshing. Overall, the staff were fantastic, providing attentive service when I needed it most. 😊

I stayed in a Classic Double Room that was comfortable but could benefit from some updates. The absence of a window made it feel a bit claustrophobic at times.
Service

The staff at the hotel were great. I encountered an issue with my suitcase lock at nearly midnight, and James along with his team were persistent in helping me until it was resolved, which I truly appreciated.

5.4/10

I recently stayed at Victor Metropolis Hotel & Rooftop Bar for five nights. While the location is fantastic, right in the center of the Old Quarter and close to Hoan Kiem Lake, the experience was marred by some significant issues. The staff, while polite, seemed less attentive to my needs, and the rooms could use some upgrades. My room often had a cigarette smell, which was quite unpleasant.

Rooms
5.0
The King Room with City View had a great view, but it felt outdated and didn't match the online pictures. There were also unpleasant odors, which detracted from my stay.
Service
5.0
The service was a mixed bag. While some staff members were friendly, it seemed they were only helpful when prompted. My requests weren't always met satisfactorily.
Location
8.0
The location is definitely a highlight, nestled in the busy Old Quarter. It's near everything you want to see as a tourist in Hanoi, making it super convenient.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were quite limited, particularly for vegetarians. I didn't find much variety in the menu offered, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic and did not meet my expectations. I expected more amenities for the price I paid, and there was a lack of extra comforts that I usually enjoy during stays.

I had a lovely 2-night stay at the Victor Metropolis Hotel. The central location made it easy to explore the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff, especially Ruby, were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great advice on local activities. However, the rooftop bar was under renovation, which was a disappointment, and I found the mattress a bit too firm for my liking.

Rooms

The Classic Double Room was modern and clean, but the TV lacked smart features and had limited channels. The mattress felt stiff, which could be uncomfortable for some.
Service

The service was excellent, with Ruby going above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing us with transportation assistance and great local tips.
Location

The hotel is perfectly located in the center of the Old Quarter, making it easy to walk to shops, local restaurants, and attractions like the night market.
Dining

Breakfast offered a lovely variety of options, and although the rooftop bar wasn’t operational, the dining options catered to diverse tastes.
Facilities

Facilities included room service and laundry, but the current remodeling of the rooftop bar was a letdown.
